BLuEngineering

Building services design that makes the difference – heating, ventilation, plumbing and cooling from a single source.

Specialist engineering design for projects in which building services are not an add-on but a core discipline. For architects, developers and clients looking for a partner who works with them as an equal.

The starting point

Buildings are becoming more complex. Building services decide earlier whether a project succeeds.

Heat pump or hybrid solution? Which ventilation concept suits the use without breaking the budget? These questions cannot be settled at the end – they have to be answered correctly from the outset.

Our services

Seven building blocks. Combinable as modules.

  1. Complete engineering design across service phases 1–9 (HOAI, the German fee structure for architects and engineers) – or specifically the phases that call for in-depth building services expertise
  2. Heating, ventilation, plumbing, cooling – all building services trades
  3. Heat load and cooling load calculation to DIN EN 12831 and VDI 2078
  4. System selection and comparison of options – without ties to any manufacturer, based solely on technical and economic criteria
  5. Simulation and sizing: no system designed on guesswork
  6. Coordination of interfaces with architecture, structural engineering and fire protection – proactive, not on request
  7. Funding-optimised design: funding requirements are part of the design from the very start – not a retrospective attempt at adjustment once the course has long been set.

Process

From establishing the basics to operational optimisation – across all service phases.

  1. Analysis

Basic evaluation and preliminary design (service phases 1–2): survey of existing conditions, needs analysis, initial system alternatives, feasibility and cost estimate.

  2. Concept

Design and planning approval (service phases 3–4): comparison of options with cost-effectiveness calculation including funding strategy, system selection, approval planning.

  3. Design

Detailed design and preparation of contract award (service phases 5–7): technically and economically optimised detailed design, bills of quantities, tendering and evaluation of bids.

  4. Implementation

Site supervision and project aftercare (service phases 8–9): contract award, site supervision, commissioning, acceptance and operational optimisation.
